Ocean AFR filing timing:
AFR filings to Japan Customs is required 24-hours prior to departure of the ocean vessel from its origin.
Carriers and NVOCC's are required to transmit cargo and related information to Japan Customs. Advanced filings can only be received by Japan customs via EDI feeds through local Japanese servers with secure connections directly into NACCS/Japan Customs. Trade Tech is an authorized Japan Customs electronic transmission security provider.
